LeBleu

Chuck and I finally got our claws on the finest beer in a can! And it totally lived up to all the hype I have been hearing. I will be bringing some on the MTB ride tomorrow at New Quarter Park to share. Because you know a good beer drinker finds good beer and shares it with good people.
BestBeer In A Can!

Had this doubly bad bubbly last night just before watching Game Plan with the fam (friday family movie night). I fell asleep ;-)
The beer is awesome, and from what I hear, the movie was good...
This brew is on a limited run, so get it while you can. I did...

Sam got thirsty for some Brown Shugga after peeking into my fridge. Her good man Elk bought her a whole case!!! Good man indeed...

So me and my soulful self thought of Deangelo the R&B phenom when I thought of brown sugar. I'll take a gander, and say that none of ya'll know about him or his work. But there I go stereotypin, my bad. Prove me wrong why dontcha. BTW this is my domain, I can offend if i want to!

It's Happening...

(those red thingys were hard as hell to put on!)

And dammit it's sad... I'm dealing with alot of remorse after breaking down ol DD-X! I mean, what did she do wrong? Absolutely nothing I tell ya, absolutely nothing. Except give me one of my better seasons of cross. That bike ROCKED in ALL conditions. Throw on the road wheels and you'd think you were on a pure bred road racing machine! It could be the motor, but you and I know that's hogwash.
It really is a bike you can do anything with.
So I'm currently putting my CAAD 9 cdale back together with some fancy SRAM Force Carbon goodies minus cranks. This setup is new to me, but I've always used gripshift on the mtb so I know they know how to make really good stuff lighter and cheaper than their competition.
The good thing about putting the road steed together is that it will be very fast. Especially after using a cross bike as my road bike since late September.

I'm very excited for what 2008 holds for me on the bike scene... Hopefully things work out, and I'll be able to post some big plans in the near future. If not, I'll just let it go, and hope that you forgot I posted this.

Oh yea, the reason for all the video only posts is partly because they're good, and mostly because I have been sick all week. I finally caught a little virus and am dealing with it as quietly as I can. I haven't and won't be riding till Sunday at the earliest. So, a bike change over came at a perfect time!

Gotta get myself right for Superbowl weekend. We have a group of 15 or so heading up to C-ville for the weekend to have epic mtb rides both Saturday and Sunday. Looking very forward to it. And to seeing all my homeboys from up there!
(I need a new MTB)

Snow Ride... Take it Easy...

What a great ride we had today!
I had the honors of leading the first lap through Freedom Park in Williamsburg, and I gotta tell ya, being first wheel on snow covered singletrack is quite the riding experience! We were all brought back to childhood days of playing in the snow while riding hard and yucking it up. Thanx for being a part of it everybody...

Crazy Train (look at the shadow on his face)

K-Dog twisting the throttle

Pausing for a lil photo opp

an un named rider for now (can you name her?) got taken out by some black ice!

I dunno what to say... I found this stick figure amongst the trees. Evidently, this one was so hot that the snow had no chance of sticking...(i joke, i joke, i kid, i kid)

Happy Trails to you...

Ruination

Grape & Gourmet was a nice find today with Dinsey and I after our 5k race at Mt Trashmore. What a selection they have, and what a passion for craft beers! I cracked open this Stone Ruination tonight, and boy does it ever ruin your pallette! I love it.
My fridge is now lookin pretty phat with nothin but the finest of ales from all over the place.
I'm excited for the Double Bastard, and the Flying Dog rare finds...

This is Hot!

My boys at Contes Got this in for me the other day. I'm almost ready to put the road steed back together. I will be putting SRAM Force Carbon on er with this lovely red tape and hood covers...

I'm so sad to see the Slingshot DD-X get hung up in the rafters, but what can I say, the road season looms upon us... When in Rome... I want to point out that the DD-X has been an awesome ride both on and off road. Best overall bike I've ridden yet. And the folks up there in Michigan have been a dream to work with. Looks like some better ones are on the horizon, so I'm glad I live to ride another day.

Has anybody heard anything about global warming lately??? Can you believe it's SNOWING in southern Virginia? Sure is purdy, and I hope it sticks cuz we're goin mountain bikin tomorrow! Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

DON'T EX WITH TEXAS

Dear Dallas and Surrounding Areas,

This isn't a sports blog, and it isn't a publicity stunt. (but have at me if it feels right.)

This is about doing what I think is right as a person, in this case speaking my mind.

I have never known anyone to have more pride in their home state and their upbringing in it than Jessica Simpson has in Texas. I don't really follow sports, but I have played some of my biggest and best concerts in your state, and having witnessed how dynamic the spirit there is, I'm betting emotions are running high right about now.

All witty barbs, blogs, and fashion policing aside, that girl loves Texas more than you know. It's one of her most defining traits as a person. So please don't try and take that away from her. (You probably wouldn't be able to, but it's less work for all involved.)

I just thought it would mean something coming from the guy who has the absolute least to gain from this. And if I'm out of line in having written it, too bad. I can spare a Wednesday's worth of bad press if it means sticking up for a good soul.

JM

Velocity

I have a love/hate relationship with Velocity who trains this lovely bunch of hampton roads cyclists from varied teams. We check our team jerseys at the door, and become a team of velocity trainees. We push eachother to points unatainable on our own. And the coaching staff does a terrific job of showing us proper technique as well as keeping things moving at a very rapid pace, and making each week new and exciting. Shawn, andJen are our coach's.
It's like doing a cross race every Monday night!

I really enjoy our groups time together, and all that we do. Especially the trash talk. I love when we race. What a way to mix things up, and keep things fit during the winter...

Clean Slate in 08!

Well its a new year in case you haven't noticed. And a lot of people like to
make and break resolutions... I don't do these, because I couldn't make this gig
get any better.

So what I mean by clean slate is this...
I have been carrying some dead weight around lately relationship wise that is.
No longer will I coddle sensitive people. No longer will I deal with people who
can dish things out, yet can't take it back. No longer will I deal with assholes
who stoop to immature levels of ignoring me!
Fortunately this is only two people. One boy, and one girl. One less boy and
girl in my life.

It feels good to be free in the sense where I feel like I don't have to walk on
eggshells around these people.

I just gotta be me...

I really cherish my friendships and look forward to what the future holds in
them.

I just thought I'd "air myself out"
And I will wreck shop if needed...

This new soapbox I got for Christmas is freakin awesome! Anyone want my old one?

Looking forward to building on my current relationships, and making new ones.

Love Kevin

The bridge of friendship, what will you do with it in 08???
